Makin’ Banana Pancakes

Out of all my ideas this is one of my absolute favorites. It’s so fast and easy. Honestly, I can’t believe I made it up! LOL The toddler loves them and they freeze really well (just pop a frozen one in the microwave for 25 seconds!). Oh and the pancakes have no added sugar, are whole grain, low fat and only one a point a piece!

Click here to see the original Quick Whole Grain Banana Pancakes recipe. The milk can be replaced with soy milk or like a say in the video, 1/4 yogurt and 1/4 cup water mixture. Oh and if you are fighting off a chocolate craving I even turned these guys into Chocolate Banana Pancakes! Also very yummy! :)

I hope you enjoy the video. Keep your eye on the toddler. His expression at the end is priceless. I love pouty toddler face. :)

I agree with Deb above…that is a cute video. Great pouty face. He needs to use it while he can…as an adult that face doesn’t get me anywhere these days. lol

I have everything to make these except the banana…do you think any other fruit will do?

LOL – love the pouty toddler face – he had a blast with himself in this one! (and the standard tree in his belly)

I knew it! I was like – that is A HUGE coincidence if Roni just decided to put “makin’” instead of “making” if she had never heard that song!

I love JJ – his music is so nice to just “chill” to! :)

The title caught my attention because we had Banana Pancake day in a feeding therapy session for one of my patients..with jack johnson Banana Pancakes song as my inspiration! Adalyn loves these, i will have to try your recipe, mine i am sure will be boring in comparison as we only add mashed bananas to whatever pre mix we have!! I posted some yummy potato -chicken-broccoli-onion savory pancakes on You could change it up to make it whole wheat!

Roni – my hubby and I made these this morning. They were absolutely delicious. These will definitely be a staple at our house. Thanks!

I have been makin these banana pancakes since their inception. My daughter and I make them every Sunday and then have the left overs during the week out of the freezer. Haven’t gotten the the husband and adolescent son into eating them yet but hopefully someday. I make mine with 120gms of white whole wheat flour and a cup of unsweetened almond breeze milk. They rise up really well and the almond breeze is only 40 cal a cup.
Thanks for all the great recipes. Oh yea – This is my favorite Ryan video for sure.

Ummm applesauce might work. But I’ve never tried it. you could also try pumpkin but you may have to sweeten it a bit. If you try let us know!

Made these this weekend and they were delicious!! I also put two cups of blueberries in a saucepan with a tablespoon of powdered sugar and cooked for about ten minutes until thick and syrupy and put it on top of my pancakes, it was amazing!
