Pork & Beans & Beans – Video Post

Posted in: Toddler Approved, Video Posts | 6 Comments

This weeks video is one of our family dinner making adventures. I just wanted to share a quick idea I had and show you how fast a healthy dinner at home could really be.

Ryan is really good (and cute I might add) through the whole thing. However, about 15 minutes later he had a complete meltdown. Ahhh the joys of parenthood. :~)

Roni’s Quick 7 Spice Fall Pork Rub

1/2 tsp each garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chili powder, ground sage, nutmeg, ground ginger.

I cooked the porkchops exactly like I did in the Pork Chops with Orange Cranberry Chutney, just skipping the salt and pepper an sprinkling with the spice mixture.

Pumpkin Bran "Cookies"

I made the cookies using the Blue Bran VitaMix. Mixed the dry mix with 1 15oz can of pumpkin and 1/2 tsp each of ground cloves, cinnamin, nutmeg, ground ginger. I baked tbsp size cookies in a preheated 400 degree oven for 10 minutes.

If you are interested in trying the mix or any Vitalicious Product, make sure to use the promotion code RonisWeigh for 10% off!

    Hi Roni,
Great video! The Pork, Beans & Beans sounds good to me. Hubby loves baked beans but I always worry they are so high in calories and he likes the ‘bad’ kind LOL I only have one serving but still the cal. seem high to me. Wish they had single serving cans of the beans he likes so I could have something different and not waste any.

This is possibly my most favorite video you and Ryan have done! You look great in your new aprons….I think I am going to be needing a few of those for Christmas presents……

Roni – I always love your videos and my 8 year old loves to watch them too – especially when Ryan is with you. Thanks for the great ideas and I love the name of this one!!!

Can you set up green lite bites with a “printer friendly” way to print out all your awesome recipes?

So check this out. I’m watching your video about Pork and Beans squared and thinking yeah that looks pretty tasty and I’d like to try that out real soon. But what I can’t take my eyes off of, no matter what you are saying or doing, is little Ryan doing a number on those FROZEN vegetables! THAT alone should inspire mom’s and dad’s out there to whip out the bags of frozen veggies and let the kids have a field day! And they are every bit as healthy as fresh veggies. Brava…Brava, Roni!! Bravo…Bravo, Ryan!!
