Ask Roni Q&A _v01 - Video Post

Posted in: Ask Roni Q&A, Video Posts |

This weeks video is a little bit different. I’m heading out of town friday for a couple of days and there was just no way I could squish in a cooking video before I left. Instead, I decided to do a some Q&A with questions I have received from the site. There are quite a few and I’m having a hard time keeping up!

So… NO LAUGING ;~P and i hope this helps.

Info mentioned in video…

Hope that helps!!

Great video! I like the idea of answering questions via video. You look great by the way. How are the bangs working out? Mine are clipped down right now so they will not bug me. I am going to try your suggestion of placing a paper towel in the bags of lettuce. It is so simple but I bet it really works. Can’t wait to try some of your new recipes.

I like the Q and A video! It’s more fun to watch than read and you covered a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Nicely done.

LOVE THE VIDEO IDEA!! I have a tip for lettuce that works amazing wonders!! It was shared at a WW meeting about a year ago. When you get home from the store, take the core of the lettuce out, wash the head in as hot of water as your tap will run and let it drain, then wash in as cold of water as your tap will run and let it drain, put it in a ziploc and it stays fresh for two weeks and the hot/cold water thing makes it extremely crispy! (I know it does sound odd, but it works!) ENJOY!

I also loved this Q&A Video….great job! And I’m going to try the paper towel in the greens, as well as, if I buy a head of lettuce again, I’m going to try the hot/cold water.

    Thank you!!!

Love the video! And if you ever find time to do a cookbook, try this site: http://www.blurb.com/

Since my husband and I have been doing WW for six months, and will continue through the end of the year, I am compiling recipes with photos I’ve taken to bind together for holiday gifts for friends and family. I’ve heard good things about these books, though I haven’t done one yet!

Thanks for the video Q&A Roni! Like many others have already said, I too will be adding paper towel to my bags of lettuce :) I love that MizFit made a comment- thanks to you I visit her site too :)

    Hey Roni,
I like the video answers….it is a quick way to hear a few questions and answers at once and it must save you time as well. I have been doing the paper towel trick for years as well as removing the centre of a head of lettuce. Both ideas have always worked well for me.

Also, Tupperwear has a great ‘fridge saver’ range that I use for mushrooms and peppers. They have air vents on the side that adjust for different veggies. It allows different amount of air for different types of veg. There is a card telling how much air each veg needs. Sometimes my mushrooms last a couple of weeks, you would be amazed!

It was the picture link on the left side of WW that made me want to watch this. I don’t know if you get to choose what the screen cap is that appears before I press play, but you were making this almost pouty/posh face that made me laugh, so I had to watch! And I’m glad I did, lots of good tips (as always!).

First, I want to say you are such an inspiration. A friend of mine turned me on to your website…and I thank you for proving to me that this can be done! Have you ever had to deal with family members telling you that you are just going to go back to your old habits? And if you have, how do you deal with that?
    Thank you,
    Rosie

I am amazed with how you pull everything together…you are such a good example and I have learned much from you. Have a great day!!
