The title says it all! This is our first papaya and I think Ryan liked it more then I did! We will buying them again, especially considering 1 cup of papaya has only 55 calories, no fat, 3 g of fiber and almost 150% of your daily Vitamin C! According to NutritionData, it is also is a good source of Potassium, Vitamin A, and Folate.
So please join us on our papaya adventure and next time you see them at the grocery store maybe you’ll pick one up!
We ended up making an AWESOME smoothie!
Oh! And according to WHFoods, Papaya's seeds are edible, although their peppery flavor is somewhat bitter. Unfortunately, I threw mine away before trying them. :~( next time.

I never used to like papaya until I tried squeezing a little bit of lemon juice on it. It tastes so much better like that!
What a wonderful site. And Ryan is just so cute!

Thanks for your post and website - I've really enjoyed your ideas, though it's my first time to post. I'm a fellow WW lifetimer (94 lbs down!), who's lived most of my adult life in the tropics, so am familiar with tropical fruits - I had to write to add that papaya is a fav and is SO much better with lime. I think it tastes like soap without it, and heaven with (brings out sweetness). Also, I can speak from experience that papaya works like magic on an upset tummy.
