What Came Home?

OK, so I’ve been feeling pretty lazy these last 3 days. It’s the whole I need a vacation from my vacation thing. I’m just SO tired and lacking all motivation. Especially in the making-school-lunch department. So yesterday I was going to let Ryan buy school lunch.
Again.
About 5 minutes before the bus comes he asks. Now, I’m assuming he’s going to be ecstatic about buying. He usually loves to buy.
Well, I was wrong. He reads the menu: Chicken tenders, Spaghetti, or Yogurt Box Lunch.
He says,
“Sigh, ok, I guess I’ll get the Yogurt Boxed Lunch.”
I replied, “Do you want me to make you something real quick?”
Excitedly he says, “Yes!”
So I took a few minutes and pulled together the above. Hence the quick photo taken on the counter.
Now and I feel guilty for being so lazy this week. 🙁

hahaha - i had a very similar thing happen with my 7 year old this morning. I was in a rush, didn't time or energy to make his, told him i was going to let him buy and figured he would be excited. And he was for a moment, then seemed to think a bit about it and said no he wants me to make him a lunch...so i threw one together really fast. In a way even though it took a bit of work, it made me happy that he prefers what I make him :).

I find it takes a good two weeks to get over the jet lag. Be kind to yourself and you'll start feeling 100% soon.
