What Came Home?
OK, there are 2 things I want to mention in this lunch post.
First, I was getting a little suspicious of all the 2-year-old's lunches coming home empty. So I sent a note with his last lunch and asked for them to leave anything he didn't eat in the containers. Voila! Now I can get a better idea of what is and isn't working for lunches.
Second, let's talk about picky 2-year-olds for a minute. If you guys have been following along for some time on the blog, you may know Evan is NOT a fruit fan (click here to see some of our baby food adventures.) No berries, no banana, no apples! Not consistently anyway. He may take a bite 1 out of every 10 times I offer.
He has always enjoyed melon, but there's a catch. He may DEVOUR it when I cut it fresh but turns his nose up at it precut. Notice the photo -- he may have eaten 1 or 2 cubes. The night before? He ate 2-3 wedges easily.
Again ... KIDS!
