I was a bit hesitant when Chiquita asked me to review their new smoothie mixes. I'm not normally a fan of pre-package smoothie mixes or powders as I'd much rather make my own by adding fresh fruit, yogurt and ice to the blender. Just do a search for smoothie and you'll see how many ideas I've posted and to be honest, I make many more that I never tell you about. 🙂
So I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised when my smoothie mixes arrived. I looked immediately at the ingredient list and saw no sugar, no high fructose corn syrup, no artificial sweeteners. Nothing but fruit purees, water, fruit juices, guar gum and ascorbic acid. FINALLY! I'm happy some brands are catching on!
The blender I used in the video is the Oster Fusion Blender. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. As you'll see, it makes the smoothies perfectly.

That blender rocks. Ryan/the cat was hilarious in this video! He fed the horse some smoothie, and ate spilled smoothie off the counter. Priceless!

I don't know what I want more, the blender or the smoothie mix!
I love RTN's imagination... go for it... I'm a CD major and all my research & observation says the more the better 🙂

I just bought that blender for my husband for his birthday. I was thoroughly impressed with its ice crushing ability! I think everyone should have one of these.

I am expecting a baby boy (I am 23 weeks). I love getting all your ideas of nutritious foods to make for kids. I will definitely be using them.
Oh, and I came across your tip on how to store breast milk--very helpful! Thanks!!
