Quick Sugar Snap Peas

Published: May 2, 2009 · Modified: Oct 16, 2020 by greenlitebitescom · This post may contain affiliate links · 7 Comments

Phew! I almost missed a week! Since posting my very first video (on Dec 1, 2007! YIKES!) I have not missed a video of the week. Don't believe me? Just check out the list! Sometimes I'm late but I always sneak it in sometime between Sunday and Saturday.

This one may be my shortest yet. It's for those that asked how I prepare my sugar snap peas. It's so simple I'm not sure it warrants a video but whatever, you get to hear me yelling at the toddler for the millionth time. :~P

The other recipes I used in the dinner I made in the video...

  • Creamy Mashed Potatoes
  • Simple Chicken Tips with Gravy
« Simple Homemade Home Fries
Honey Almond Bites (Almond Milk Take II) »

Just rinse and use! yup. And the leftovers we eat raw as a snack. I wouldn't freeze them. They loose the crisp sweetness.

I have never bought or even thought about a snap pea but this receipe sounds great. I was wondering. after you got them out of bag did you just rinse them and strain them? Is that what that bowl was for? and how would you store extra ones you dont use? in the freezer?

    I love your little one!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that cooks frozen corn that way... I can't stand going over to the parents house and having them throw it in a microwave container with a bunch of butter...

That little scorch is the flavor!

Thank you Roni!!!! How cool to be called out on your video! I'm so trying these....as soon as I can get to the market. Gosh...they have farm stands early in Maryland. I haven't seen any around here yet. Are your farm stands up there, regular ones....as in, do they have a permanent facility? Because around here, in the summer, people will just set up along side the road somewhere, but never this early.
