The toddler sets the tone in the first 2 minutes for the rest of the video. CRAZY! The phone rings, I lose him, literally, and my mind. It truly is a train wreck BUT in the midst of it all I give you my tips for low fat mashed potatoes and a quick gravy. That is IF you can stick with me through the whole video. HA!

Hi Roni,
I made these mashed potatoes tonight, and they were excellent! Even my extremely fussy 4 year old daughter ate them - it was the first time she'd ever eaten mashed potatoes. I made them as a side dish for your beer can chicken - which I've made numerous times now - it's my favorite. Thanks for all the great ideas, you really inspire me in the kitchen! 🙂

Yummm... Try putting some cream cheese next time you make scrambled eggs. Delicious!

Hi Roni,
Love this recipe idea, I will try it this weekend. Something very funny to share...when I was watching this video, my 4 year old son became interested when he heard you speak to Ryan, he thought it was very funny and wanted to know if we could rent more "Ryan Tapes" at the video store. He especially liked how Ryan was trying to escape the "deck rule", because we have the same rule here. Great video!

Love the gravy idea (although I am a little frightened by the coffee grounds - I could just use a pinch or two of the Maxwell House container I have???)
Ryan is just too funny - even when he is being the "Teenage Toddler" - too precious 😀

I would have never thought of putting cream cheese in mashed potatoes. I'll def have to try it. However, I believe my fave parts of the video is you almost losing your mind with the toddler. My toddler was born almost 2 weeks after yours. It just makes me feel better to know that I'm not the only one losing her mind.
PS - I cringed when you turned around and Ryan was still close to the knife. I'm always afraid that my little princess will go all Michael Meyers on the dog or something.

We can put candy on it.
Hilarious. The joys of being a mom.
