Yo Baby is Good but this is Better!

Recently we’ve introduced yogurt and mixed it with some homemade puree. He likes it. Although you really can’t tell from the photos. Can you say “MOOOODY”….
A Little Appetizer.
This is a quick homemade teether. That adventure is coming soon!

Started with a Ripe Pear.
Big Brother LOVES pears, except when they get bruised up. Little Bean doesn’t seem to mind yet. :)

Leave the Skin On.
I leave the skin intact and cut off the flesh.

Puree.
Plop in the blender, small food processor, or bullet. Mine was so ripe it didn’t require water but a dash wouldn’t hurt to get things started.

Prepare the Yogurt

Make sure it’s full fat.
I used greek for the higher protein content, but my doctor said any full fat is good.

Add the Pear Puree.

Swirl.
I like leaving ribbons of the puree. It makes it pretty. :)

Taste Test Time

Yikes!
Actually. It wasn’t the yogurt at all. He was just in a MOOD.

Empty Bowl.
Content, full baby. I don’t quite want to say happy. He really was having an off day.

Wash it down.
He’s been having sips of water after meals.

Back to the Teether.
Just a little messier. ;)

I love that you try to feed him good, nutritious food! I have so many friends with young children who feed them CRAP. ALL the time! :)
You make “making baby food” so easy and nutricious! I am so going to be so ready when its my time to be a mom
Not just yet though :)
Can’t wait for the teether recipe- I’ve been wanting one! Also, I just got a magic bullet and I LOVE it. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for doing this series! I’m looking forward to trying out some of these recipes when my baby-to-be (5 weeks to go!) is ready for solids.
