Since starting Whole30 I've given up my post-workout protein powder since it was loaded with sugar and sweeteners. In its place I purchased a NutriBullet so I could make quick smoothies at home and I could'nt be happier!
This things rocks! And I've used it daily since getting it from Amazon.
To replace my post-workout shake I came up with this tasty concoction that is way better and has way more nutrients. It may not look pretty but it's super yummy and filled with lots of good stuff!
This is what I do...
Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana (~100g)
- 9 tablespoon pasteurized liquid egg whites (138g)
- 2 tablespoon natural almond butter (30g)
- ½ oz cacao nibs (14 g)
- 2 tablespoon cocoa powder (10g)
- 3 cups spinach and mixed greens (85g)
- 2-3 ice cubes
Instructions
Place all ingredients in the blender or bullet except the ice. Blend until smooth.
Add ice and blend again.
Done!
I sprinkled a few extra nibs on top in an attempt to make it slightly pretty but I ended up loving the little chewy bites at the end!

It’s pretty impressive and very convenient if you live in an area where finding high quality meats is hard.
