Chocolate Yogurt Dipping Sauce

Published: Dec 23, 2007 · Modified: Oct 16, 2020 by greenlitebitescom · This post may contain affiliate links · 3 Comments

I wanted something fun and healthy for dessert tonight and surprisingly the strawberries at the grocery store smelled divine yesterday.

Having a lot of baking stuff out an about this idea smacked me across the face and I’m glad it did! All I can say it YUM! What a fun way to dress up some simple strawberries. Although, I normally like them just straight up!Chocolate Yogurt Dipping Sauce

  • 2 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips (1oz/28g)
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup fat free plain yogurt (although vanilla would probably be delicious!)

Put the chips and extract in a stainless steel bowl and float it in hot water (or melt any way you normally melt chocolate).

Once melted add the yogurt and quickly mix in until well blended

Let it sit for a minute and serve!

We devoured a pint of strawberries in no time and had a lot left over. I’m estimating about an ounce a serving which would serve about 6 people.

I just went and made this. I'd give it a 7/10

Tried this tonight. Not too bad. I put 1/4 cup more of the yogurt in and split it into three portions which, with my ingredients, made it 2 points/serving. I used plain yogurt but next time I'll use vanilla. Thanks! This was a great dessert to have after dinner while watching a movie with the family.
