This is not a sponsored post just a review of the Yonanas Machine I got for my birthday a few weeks ago.
If you don't have 8 minute to watch us use it, here's my thoughts in a nutshell...
Cons: Loud, unitasker device that takes up room in your kitchen.
Pros: Fast, easy to clean, easy to make lighter alternative to ice cream from fresh fruit.
I'm not sure I would have bought it because you can use your food processer to make banana soft serve. But now that I have it, I don't think I'll make it any other way. It's so easy to clean and make without adding extra liquid and the texture is spot on every time!
Here's my other posts about Banana Serve...

I found this video extremely annoying. Why do kids, who think they are God's gift to this world, have to act out - they drive us all crazy in the Supermarkets - but nobody says, "please, for God's sake, stop acting so silly - it is not appreciated and we think that your interrupting all the time is very rude. I never let my kids act out like this - I always said, please wait your turn and don't interrupt all the time - it is very rude, and not appreciated.
PLEASE DO NOT ADD YOUR KID TO YOUR VIDEOS - ONLY IF YOU MAYBE TEACH HIM SOME MANNERS AND THAT HE IS NOT FUNNY.

PLEASE STOP WATCHING MY VIDEOS IF YOU DON'T LIKE THEM.
I'm sorry but I only scream back at those that scream at me. Read this if you are interested in my opinion on the subject of my annoying kids... https://greenlitebites.com/2008/05/20/the-annoying-toddler/

thanks to you and Ryan for the review..i am thinking of asking for one for my birthday!!!!
I LOVE your videos and your little (who's growing by leaps and bounds) helper! I have looked at them going back a few years and he is so cute and soooo happy!!! Oh to be that comfortable on a camera...you both make a great team and i hope Little Bean will soon be talking and making faces along with you both soon!!!

Thanks Roni, that's exactly what I needed to hear! I think this is going on my wishlist (my husband is always on my back to keep things on a list so he can have a chance at good gifts for me) now. If cream is needed, I'll try adding some frozen avacado (what I use in smoothies) or frozen coconut milk. Possibly frozen pears. And frankly, a bowlful of instant fruit sorbet sounds even better then a soft serve yogurt. Thanks so much.

Jenna - I think the banana makes it "creamier" but it is possible to use the machine without them. Berries work great! It's just more a sorbet then a ice cream. If the makes sense. Hope that helps!

I am still not completely turned over the banana concoction yet. Not a banana fan to begin with so we shall see.
Nice review though...thank you for sharing your thoughts on it.

This is going to possibly sound like one of the dimmer questions you'll get... but does it work if you can't use bananas? I know, I know. Inherient in the name, bananas are likely required. But what can I say... allergies are a pain in the rump! I'd been looking at this gadget for awhile now, but not knowing if anything tasty using lots of other fruits would work has kept me away. (Honestly? There are days when the stupid banana allergy is a bigger pain to deal with then the celiac!)

I can see it as an annoyance but it's not a waste if you scrape it out. We get most of it between our fingers, the spoon and, umm, his tongue. lol

Must be me.....I brought mine back because of the reasons you cite, but mostly because I thought it wasted a lot of product, as evidenced when you went to clean it.

I love my Yonanas. Yes its loud but ice cream is great.

I had asked you before if it was worth the space in my apartment kitchen but I think you have encouraged me to get it because my banana soft serve always comes out differently each time. I can then stop my weekly visit to look at it at Target like Krista.

Ryan is SO funny! I've been looking at the Yonanas machine every time I go to Target and can't decide if I want it or not. Thanks for the review...it was fun.
