Combine all ingredients and form into four patties.
1 lb 93% Lean Ground Turkey, 3 jalapeño peppers, 3 scallions, ½ cup Old Fashioned Oats, Salt and Pepper
Place on the hot grill and cook for about 4-5 aside.
Top with cream cheese for that jalapeno popper texture and flavor!
Notes
I removed the seeds and ribs of the jalapeno, but you can leave them or more heat. I will probably do that next time.
Use the whole scallion, white and green parts.
Lots of people have told me their turkey burgers don't stay together. I think the secret is in the cooking process, not ingredients. Make sure your grill is nice and hot. There should be a sizzle when you place them. Then, leave them alone for at least four minutes until you can see them about halfway cooked. Doing so will create a nice sear and grill mark. If your turkey burgers are sticking, it probably means you are trying to flip them too soon.
I topped my first one with cream cheese but then ran out. A wedge of Laughing Cow works just as good and is a little lighter!
