1 7 oz can of chunk tuna packed in water drained, 1 egg, ½ cup old fashioned oats, About ⅓ cup of finely chopped bell pepper, About ¼ cup finely chopped onion, A large clove of garlic minced, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, ¼ teaspoon celery salt
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Form the tuna mixture into patties and place directly on hot skillet. Cook for about 3 minutes a side until browning and warmed thru.
  • I served mine on a whole grain thin with baby spinach leaves, ketchup (yes, ketchup,) black pepper and a sweet pickle slice. It was perfect! I can see going spicy or sweet with this base recipe. It all depends on your tastes!
pinch of fresh ground black pepper
