Put the water, oats, salt and peanut butter in a small pot.
½ cup Old Fashioned Oats, 6 oz of water, Pinch of Salt, 1 tablespoon Natural Peanut Butter
Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally for about 3 minutes until all the water is absorbed.
While the oats are cooking, mash your banana.
½ ripe Banana Mashed
Once the water is all absorbed, and the oats are nice and gooey, add them to the mashed banana and mix everything together.
As if that wasn’t tasty enough, top with the chocolate chips!
½ tablespoon Mini-Chocolate Chips
Seriously delicious!
Notes
The recipe listed is much how I make it for the kids, but I double the recipe and never really measure anything.
For myself, I'll sometimes swap the peanut butter for PB powder if I'm watching fat and I've added a scoop of whey with great results to up the protein. Oh, I usually skip the chocolate chips. I don't think it needs it, but the kids do.
It's a forgiving recipe, have fun with it. The takeaway is using a banana as the oatmeal sweetening; there's nothing else you need.
