Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz bag of frozen mixed pepper strips
  • 20 oz package of ground turkey 93/7
  • 4 tablespoon ground flax meal
  • ½ cup wheat bran
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • pinch of kosher salt

Instructions

  • Spread the bag of peppers on a cutting board and chop them a little smaller. You could, of course, use fresh but I’ve had this bag in my freezer forever and it was time to use it. I also like knowing I can use a bag of frozen when fresh is unavailable.
1 8 oz bag of frozen mixed pepper strips
  • Put all ingredients in a bowl
20 oz package of ground turkey, 4 tablespoon ground flax meal, ½ cup wheat bran, 1 egg, 2 tablespoon garlic powder, 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, pinch of kosher salt
  • Mix with your hands until combined.
  • Form into 8 - 4oz patties.
  • Preheat your grill and spray or rub with a little oil as turkey burgers have a habit of sticking.
  • I cooked them about 7 minutes a side on a hot grill but over medium-low heat.
