Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat, parchment paper, or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
Wash the asparagus and trim off the lower end of the spear where it naturally snaps (usually about ¼ of the spear).
1 lb. asparagus spears
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, lemon juice, and garlic.

Place the trimmed asparagus into a large Ziploc bag and pour over the marinade. Seal the bag and shake gently to coat the asparagus.
Marinate for 15 minutes or refrigerate and marinate up to 24 hours before baking.
Place the asparagus in a single layer on the baking sheet and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
