I’m finding my video groove again! I miss them so much! This one’s a throw back. I simply invite you into our kitchen while making dinner with a fussy (off screen) baby and a crazy 6 year old. Oh and he’s in his cheesy 6 year old glory. He was having fun and helping, but little did I know he was wearing cheese slices on his face and dancing around. Read the rest of this post
First day back from the beach and I’m CRAVING some fresh, homemade food. Don’t get me wrong, I love boardwalk treats (pizza, fries, cheesesteaks, ice cream) but after a week, I had my fill. This morning I wanted something a little lighter and little fresher.
On our way home yesterday, we stopped at a farm stand in New Jersey. There’s no way I’m leaving the state without some fresh blueberries and corn on the cob. Two of my favorite summer foods that are both in season right now!
I love working as a Community Leader at The Laughing Cow. It nudges me to experiment with their cheeses in fun and new ways!
Today I used it for a base in a quick salad dressing. It came out fantastic! And went perfectly with cucumber, tomatoes, and, of course, fresh basil from my garden!
I’m a HUGE Panera fan. It’s one of the places I actually don’t mind the husband suggesting when he wants to go out. One of my favorite things to get is their BBQ Chopped Chicken salad. There’s something about the BBQ sauce with chicken and the crunchy tortilla strips I just love.
Armed with leftovers from my 4th of July Party, I decided to use it as inspiration, proving to myself yet again Read the rest of this post
I realize this is a little late for a 4th of July idea, but the little Guy and I had so much fun yesterday morning I just had to share.
Continuing with my boxed cake mix experiments, I had an idea for a fun striped 4th of July treat using raspberries, yogurt, and blueberries.
The concept is simple: Read the rest of this post
I recorded this video for the Laughing Cow and wanted to share it here. The ideas is a simple–a festive snack using strawberries, blueberries and a Mini Babybel® Light.
Please forgive my recent string of fresh herb inspired posts. I know not everyone has them or can keep them on hand, but I just can’t get enough of them right now! They make everything taste fresh and satisfying!
So yet again, this post is brought to you by my herb garden. But that wasn’t the only inspiration. Strawberries are peaking here and they are PHENOMENAL right now. AND Read the rest of this post
You knew I had to do it. The ripe mango, the berries, the fresh herbs… omg how I LOVE this season!
This turned out awesome and it was the perfect compliment to jazz up a pretty boring fish meal.
How did the family react? Pretty much how I expected, except with one awesome twist!
Yesterday I came home from a 3-day excursion at Mom’s to some wonderfully ripe Mangoes. I just HAD to do something with them this morning.
I didn’t have much of anything else in the house, so I hit the herb garden and made an old favorite, Low Fat Whole Grain Crêpe.
I totally stole this idea from my friend Carrie who had the most beautiful rainbow fruit kabobs at her daughters birthday party. They were GORGEOUS and so FUN!
I immediately imagined the Little Guy and I making them together. What a fun way to get your little one to have fun in the kitchen while learning about and taste-testing all sorts of different fruits! Read the rest of this post
Sorry for my short hiatus… AGAIN. I’m still adjusting to baby and trying to figure out a schedule now that Little Guy is home. Posting should become a bit more consistent now and I (we) even recorded a video today! I should have it ready tomorrow. Thanks for being patient with me as I find my groove again.
Anyway, enough “business.” I can’t wait to tell you about this AWESOME salad I made today. It was so easy and SO tasty!! I’m becoming addicted to fresh herbs. I cannot believe how much fun they are to use! Read the rest of this post
