Baby Food Adventures!
I'm not against jar bought baby food. I buy it along with making my own. My goal is to transition baby to simply eating what we're eating over the next few months, but right now we are having fun as he experiences new flavors and textures.
Avocado on the Half Shell for Baby
Posted in: Baby Food Adventures | 2 Comments

Confession: I’m not the biggest avocado fan. I simply don’t understand people that go gaga over guacamole? It’s green and weird and a weird green.
However, I must admit, after picking some up for Little Bean I’ve been giving them another chance. Especially now that I’m keeping some in stock for him…. Click here to continue reading Avocado on the Half Shell for Baby >>>

Butternut Squash For Baby
Posted in: Baby Food Adventures | 1 Comment

Nothing says “fall is coming” more to me than winter squash. I love seeing the bins at the grocery store full of acorn, spaghetti and of course, butternut squash.
I’m fairly new to this amazing vegetable. I tried my first one a few years ago and fell in love. It has a sweet flesh similar to a sweet potato, but softer and less dense once cooked. You’ll probably laugh, but my favorite way to eat them is in fry form like this.
It was time to spread the squash love to Little Bean. May I present our Butternut Squash Adventure… (Warning: photo overload ahead. I was having too much fun with the camera) Click here to continue reading Butternut Squash For Baby >>>

Pretty Pretty Peas
Posted in: Baby Food Adventures | 6 Comments

I never understood people’s aversion to peas. I blame the brownish mush that comes in cans. Fresh and even frozen peas are so vibrant and tasty. My Little Guy has always loved them. He even eats them frozen out of the bag when I’m cooking!
Will his younger brother share this love? Find out in my newest Baby Food Adventure… Click here to continue reading Pretty Pretty Peas >>>
