Avocado for the Win!

  • 1/2 avocado, cubed
  • Canned green beans
  • Lentil chips

What Came Home?


Packing the 2-year-old’s lunch is becoming more and more of a challenge, so I decided to go back to one of his first loves: Avocado.

This kid will jam chunks of avocado in his mouth like it’s going out of style. I don’t how he does it as the texture makes me gag. I should note he refuses banana, which I find funny as it’s soft as well.

Regardless, I found a way to send it to day care with him. I simply cut it into cubes, place it in a zip-lock bag and suck out as much air as possible. It worked like a charm!

As for the green beans, he was on a kick for a while (he has eaten an entire can by himself!) and now it’s over, apparently. Maybe he’ll eat carrots again; he gave those up a few weeks ago. lol
