What Came Home?

School Lunch Ideas

Ok, so you know those mornings where you’re barely making it out the door on time and you can’t find your shoes and the baby is crying and the bus is pulling up and you’re just grabbing stuff, shoving kids out the door?

Yea, we were having one of those.

So I was all proud of this lunch. I particularly made extra fish sticks the night before because he likes them so much. I had homemade seeds from halloween and grab-able snacks from trick-r-trating. We were running late so threw everything in the lunch box, snapped the picture and sent him to school all smitten with myself that I pulled it off. Kid on bus. Lunch made.

I just forgot one, teeny tiny detail…

the ketchup needs a lid.

He took it in stride and said, “Well the apple was good once I wiped the ketchup away.”

I learned my lesson. :)

I think we have all had the day you've described. Hope the little guy wasn't too hungry by the time he got home. I've got to try adding pumpkin seeds to the mix.
