School Lunch Ideas

We’re baaaack! I can’t promise really cute or spectacular school lunch ideas but I’ll continue to share what I send my 7 year old to school with 2-3 times a week. He’s asking to buy more and more and I allow him to do so 1-2 times a week. The others days we pack according to my school lunch philosophy.

He still doesn’t like sandwiches much so I’ll be TRYING to figure out other things to pack him day to day.

Oh! and I added the “snack” component. A few people asked me last year what I send him for snack, so I’ll include. We (him and I) also agreed that on the days he buys (like pizza day) he must bring a fresh snack (grapes, carrot sticks, apple, etc.) We thought that was a good compromise. :)

I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

I'm curious to know what else he likes to buy at school lunch, besides pizza. Our school lunch program here offers a lot of sandwich type things, so I was curious! Although, we have a new provider this year. It looks pretty promising to me, and my daughter gets to customize down to the condiment on her sandwich. Hoping it's a good year for everyone!

Honestly, all he wants to buy is pizza and chicken nuggets. After all my hard work of giving him a diverse diet he falls right in line with typical kid choices. *sigh*
