What Came Home?

Everything was devoured except the apple. I knew it was a little old but I decided to give it a shot anyway.
We are in desperate need of a grocery store trip. I haven’t gone since BEFORE Thanksgiving!

I heard about something like your apple idea on tv, except to keep a cut the apple from browning, spread peanut butter on each side. Put the apple back together with the PB to “glue” it back together. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. If your child is allergic to peanuts, maybe try a different nut butter or light spreadable cheese. The spread should prevent oxygen from reaching the exposed apple, plus it’s tasty with the apple!
Probably best to use a small apple like a McAntosh to use less calories from the spread.
