Love this idea! I wonder if it can be done without the George Foreman…maybe preheating two skillets?! I think I’ll try this for lunch tomorrow!

    Thanks Amanda! As for NI…

I use a combination of websites, nutritiondata.com, fitday.com, and sometimes sparkpeople.com. I measure everything on my handy dandy electronic scale and tally up the totals.

Thanks for the great recipe. I’m going to have to pick up portabellas the next time they have them at ALDI. I haven’t seen them there in a few months and they can be pricey in the other stores.

Good video, however, I need to say there is a big difference with using a panini grill and a Foreman. The Foreman grill does exactly as you showed. The hinge makes the press uneven. A panini grill is designed in the hinge mechanism to drop on on even plane. eliminating the need to turn the sandwich for even press. I have a Foreman and love it, except for the hinge issue. My next big buy is a panini press.

That’s why I did the video! The concept is the same, heat on top and bottom, but the hinge is way different. However, I think you can “hack” it and save a device IF you want to and that’s why I wanted to show it.
