I finally bought a Ninja about a month ago and this was the first thing I made. Love it! I buy bananas on the mark down rack and freeze them in packs of 1, 2, 3 or 4 so I can make a anything from a single serving to enough for the family. My last trip to the store's markdown rack resulted in over 30 lbs of bananas at 19 cents a pound. The cashier looked at me like I was crazy, so I told her I had a monkey at home. LOL!!!

Today I ate banana soft serve at breakfast. WOW! I'm skeptical of most healthy recipes, but something this easy was hard to resist.

Sliced and froze 1 banana in a sandwich bag overnight; put frozen banana slices into my new magic bullet with 1/2 cup almond milk and 1/4 tsp vanilla extract; pulsed several times, tapping container between pulses to move bananas back to blades, until creamy.

Apparently freezing overripe bananas gives them a lighter, wonderfully sweet flavor. Tastes similar to ice cream and, I'm sure, would benefit from adding flavor extracts, pureed or chopped fruits, nuts, spices and herbs, chocolate and all ice cream/yogurt additives. Can't wait to try them. Thanks!

I've been meaning to try this out forever and I finally got around to it tonight. Both my ds9 and I loved it! My dh thought it was to "banana-y", but that's his loss. Thanks for posting the video, because I think I would have been too impatient with waiting for the bananas to finally get that smooth consistency if I hadn't seen the video first.

I just have to add that your popping back in to tell us about the addition of the mini chocolate chips brought the biggest smile to my face. Little things like that are why you are so likeable. :)
