The Final Fabulous Friday Feta Giveaway!

Posted in: Contests | 73 Comments

This is it. My last official post as an Athenos Spokesblogger. It’s sort of sad but not really because I get to give stuff away to you! That always makes me happy! :)

First let announce the winner of last week’s Fabulous Feta Giveaway! Please congratulate Lori H.! She will be receiving the Athenos prize pack that includes the following items:

Fabulous Friday Feta Giveaway

  • ATHENOS Feta coupon
  • ATHENOS Feta “Shape Up Your Salad” recipe booklet
  • ATHENOS Feta water bottle
  • Life Time Fitness 1-month membership
  • Fit & Fresh salad container
  • Built NY lunch bag

Lori’s creative way to use feta has definitly peaked my interest…

I recently saw a recipe for feta, roasted pepper and basil muffins. Doesn’t that sound yummy?

I’ll be googling that one. ;)

These Friday Giveaways have been fun. The first week we got to read about everyone’s favorite Feta Salad ideas. Then we had fun reading about peoples first experiences with feta. And last week I asked you to get creative and leave me unique feta ideas. To end the Summer Salad Month and this campaign I’m going to ask a simple self-promoting question. Simply because I’m curious! ;)

Which of my July Feta Recipes was your favorite?

Feta Spinach Omelet

Grilled Hummus and Feta Sandwich with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Baby Spinach

Yellow Squash and Pom Couscous Salad with Cilantro and Feta

Feta-a-fied Cheese and Crackers

Garden Tuna Salad with Feta

Skillet Veggie and Feta Tacos

To enter simply leave a comment with your favorite feta idea of mine before next Friday and I will randomly select a winner from the comments.

Good luck and I hope you had as much fun this month as I have! If you are a feta fanatic, keep an eye on the ATHENOS fan page for more ideas and recipes.

  2. Lisa on July 30, 2010 5:04 pm

I loved your watermelon feta salad idea! I didn’t have any kohlrabi and I don’t like bell peppers, so I just made a simple salad of watermelon, feta, fresh mint and lime juice. It was amazing! Thanks for helping me to think outside the box on this one!

  3. Laura on July 30, 2010 5:09 pm

Definitely the stuffed zucchini! So simple, but not something I would have ever thought of myself… and who doesn’t love the pizza flavour?! I totally agree with Lacey Q, pizza does totally rule!

    thanks for the recipe, Roni!

  46. kathy on August 3, 2010 8:09 am

Hi Roni – I have tried many of the FETA recipes and loved every one of them. Our favorite here in the Hennessy household is the turkey/feta burger, I have made them several times and its a hit with the kids too. When I win them over to choose turkey over beef, that’s an automatic recipe keeper for me. Thanks for all the good recipes. Kathy

  47. kristin on August 3, 2010 8:11 am

  54. Valerie on August 3, 2010 10:58 am

The cucumer, tomato, feta sandwhich. I made it once on a pita and the other time I grilled it. The cucumbers still retained their nice crunch but the feta was creamier; if possible. SO Yummy!

  55. Dee Dieter on August 3, 2010 11:23 am

Mmmm, the cabbage slaw is my favourite. The pizza – first runner up.

  56. Jenn on August 3, 2010 11:26 am

    Pizza!

  58. Vickie on August 3, 2010 11:43 am

The Spinach Feta Turkey Burgers are one of my favorites. All of the turkey burgers that I have tried were dry and I didn’t care for them but these were great! Even the next day they are good. I can not get the flavored feta in my area (small rural community) but I just add my own flavors. Also I grow my own spinach in my garden so used fresh instead of frozen. Wonderful! I already use feta but you have given me lots of new ideas to try.

  59. Gracie on August 3, 2010 12:56 pm

    Strawberry salad, definitely! :)
