You could add some broth and then thicken with flour or cornstarch.

How would you get more of a gravy consistency with this, if that makes sense. Just go also cover the noodles and such.

This was pretty good, I needed to make something quick last night and this did the trick. However, I forgot the mushrooms, I was kicking myself when I got home from the store, so I replaced them with red onion and it worked. I also ended up just mixing it all together instead of just over the noodles, but luckily I saved some noodles on the side (just in case one of the girls didn't like it) and I'm glad I did. The oldest who will usually eat anything had a fit! I've never heard her complain so much about a meal, but... my youngest who doesn't eat anything more than plain pasta asked for more. I can't win!.

This was a great recipe! I wound up making it with lean beef because that's all I had on hand...it was sort of like a lazy man's Swedish Meatballs :) I seasoned the meat with some garlic, sweet onion, and montreal seasoning...very yummy with plenty of leftovers!

I made this on Sunday, had one serving for lunch and froze the rest. I've thawed and reheated this 3 more times this week so I can say that it does freeze well (I don't know why I was so surprised). Anyway, this is a good thing because my husband doesn't care for mushrooms so this is definitely a recipe only I would eat. Easy, healthy and tasty! Thanks for the recipe.

Lola - I do! In those containers and they are the disposable types. Normally I bring them to work and let them sit out all day. By lunch they are mostly defrosted. I then pop them in the microwave and viola! Even better then a tv dinner! ;)

I love this idea of using 5 ingredients, plus you have leftovers from lunch! I'd really like to see more like this. PS - great food photography!

Roni - do you then Freeze those lunches as is? Just wondering if they freeze well in those containers. And, are they just the regular ziploc disposable type containers?
