Cinnamon Spiced Strawberry Chocolate Smoothie

Posted in: Beverage Ideas, Food Photos, Snack Ideas, Vegetarian Ideas | 8 Comments

This is the results of that pesky little "I just want something" voice in the back of my head. It’s simple but oh so tasty!

I love the combo of cinnamon, chocolate and strawberries. I also love that the soy milk provides all the sweetness. It makes it super simple!

Cinnamon Spiced Strawberry Chocolate SmoothieUnfortunately I made this one after the little guy was in bed so no other taste testers then me. The husband is NOT a smoothie guy, of course. ;)

Here’s what I did. . .

  • 1 cup light chocolate Soy Milk
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries (134g)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Blend all ingredients. I used my bullet and had to shake a bit, it was nice and thick. :)

Nutritonal Infomration may vary based on your soy milk brand but overall it’s going to be a 3 WWP.

I never would have thought to put in the cinnamon. Sounds like an interesting flavor combo.

Cinnamon? Yumm! I will try that. I LOVE smoothies ’cause they are so easy to make. Gadly for me, my husband LOVES them too. I just made a smoothie for breakfast this morning: 1/2 cup nonfat milk, 2 tbs greek yogurt, 1/2 cup wild blueberries (thank you sooo much for the tip on the wild blueberries!), and 1/2 banana. Yummy!
Thanks, Roni. You’re an inspiration for me, and I thank God for your life and for your beautiful work. Have a GREAT day!

This sounds great! Not sure about the cinnamon, but I love the stuff so I’ll give it a go. I think I’ve finally been talked into lite Choc Soy milk. I’ll have to keep that on hand… and also good to remember to keep frozen berries on hand. I like having foods that last “forever” (like canned pumpkin) that I could make something with in a pinch without busting out a pan of horrible-for-me brownies or something.

So so so good. I wasn’t sure when I read it, but it was wonderful. I had just ran out of strawberries and did it with raspberries instead. Best treat of the day and good for me…wow!!
