Welcome CNN Readers!


I’m a little late with this. partly because I was in a state of shock to be on the front page of CNN.com and partly because it didn’t occur to me until know to say hello. See I do most of my chatty blog posts over on Roni’s Weigh and I try to stick with only food idea posts over here. But since 10,000 of you stopped by yesterday I thought it might be a good idea to break my own rule. :)

I should reemphasis, I am not a chef. I am not a dietician. I am simply a working mom trying to feed her family healthy food.

    I can relate as I too have lost 20 Kg in the past year and I know how it takes careful planning each day to keep it off

    It took me some time to find it on CNN, but I managed. Way to go!!! It’s so funny, because I made some of the berry oatmeal cups and brought them camping and shared them with some ladies. They loved them and wanted the recipe. They couldn’t believe there was no flour in them. I make them every week for the hubby so he has some oatmeal before his 4am work day. Now I can share the CNN article with the ladies that loved your recipe so much. WOOT!!

    I’ve been struggling with my weight ever since I had back injury and a complicated pregnancy in the late 90′s. I’ve been trying to get motivated to lose but I’m an emotional eater and anytime I eat too much I feel guilty, I feel guilty so I eat, I feel guilty about the eating…it’s a vicious cycle. I read about you on CNN and it really inspired me. I’m actually in the process of setting up a blog right now and will be joining weight watchers this weekend. I have a 10 month old baby girl and I don’t want her to have the weight issues I have now. So you inspired me and she’s my motivation. :) Thank you!
