Watermelon Banana Split

Sorry, I’ve been sitting on this idea all week trying to find time to simply post! But I won’t bore you with crazy life busy stories. :) Here’s the deal…

This past weekend after a long run (I’m training for a marathon) I wanted, I was craving, fruit. Thankfully we just went shopping so I had lots of options. :) Watermelon Banana Split

Of course I couldn’t just grab a banana. The little guy and I had a fun creating (and sharing) a fun fruit salad. Here’s what we did…

Cut the banana down the middle, lengthwise and place in bowl.

Scoop large circle pieces of watermelon using a tablespoon or ice cream scoop. Place on the bananas. Sprinkle with the blueberries and almonds.

Have fun! :)

This is too cute! I'm going to get the stuff to make this today! I think it's great that you are teaching your child how to eat healthy and fun. Many times people think it's one or the other. Thank you for sharing! Reply

Hello. Have you ever tried with a frozen watermelon? Just scoop out the circle pieces before putting it in the freezer. Yay! Watermelon sherbet! Sometimes, I even freeze other fruits after putting some lemon juice and chili powder over them. Excellent refreshing snack! Reply
