I just made these, and they are delicious! I doubled the recipe to make 12 muffins, so I doubled all of the ingredients, and they ended up rising! Weird, huh? Great recipe!

I loved how you managed to salvage the blueberries! You are so smart that way. Plus, Ryan looked as if he had a a blast. I'm so sorry about your dad. But at least you had the chance to see him before he passed away. Please don't feel guilty or badly about the past. You have the present now and the future to change things. You can always keep the memories of your father in your heart. But the most important thing is that you learn from his mistakes and continue your relationship with him in a whole new light. Take care and know that my thoughts are with you.

Regards,
Nicole

These sound like a lot of fun! And I read your other post, sorry to hear about your Dad. The past is the past and it's nice that you got to share some last special moments together. You and your family will be in my thoughts (and don't forget what great therapy baking can be!) :)

Hey Roni-

Sorry to hear about your dad, my thoughts are with you guys... Hopefully ryan "sprinkled" a smile on your face while you were making these! Not sure I can help with the baking science though, not something i have learned the ins and outs of yet.

Do you know that Ryan's obsession with sprinkles has inspired our own? It's totally true. We sprinkle with wild abandon here and we ALWAYS think of Ryan and how tickled he'd be with our spiffed up muffins and cupcakes.

Perhaps the formulation would work better 1tsp baking soda and 1 tsp salt....no b powder...i think that would do it...
