This was fantastic! I made it this weekend to use in a recipe that called for a purchased bean dip and couldn't believe how good it was. Thanks again for all of these recipes and all of your websites. You really inspire me.

OH MY GOD!
I was a bean dip virgin ( I had never even heard of bean dip!) but I like refried beans so I thought, what the heck.
I didn't have all the ingredients, so I made mine with the salsa, Frank's Hot Sauce, celery seed, basil and garlic salt. This had got to be one of the BEST things I have ever had. I toasted a sandwich thin, cut it into pieces and bravely dipped away. I am in love! Not sure if this is supposed to be cold, so I toasted another sandwich thin, and warmed the dip up and OH MY GOD again it was awesome!
Thanks Roni you rock!

Mmmmmmmmmm Sounds yummy! I was going to comment about the Trader Joe's fat free spicy bean dip, but you covered that. Love that stuff.

BTW - I made your beer chicken today. Can I just say this is the best chicken ever?! I've been wanting to make it for a while. Thanks for the recipe(s)!

I'll join your Bean Dip Club any day. Since I have a rockin' Magic Bullet (ask for one for Christmas! smoothie king this contraption!!), I use a can of drained black bean, some salsa, and fresh lime juice. Sometimes I'll add spices and cilantro, but for an easy pantry-staple snack, it's money in the bean dip bank. Too far? Sorry. :)

Jan,

Just a different bean. I believe "regular" refried beans are pinto. Just be sure to get Fat Free as some brands put lard in them!

Oh yum! I have just switched to core and this looks to be all core to me. Is there a difference between refried beans and black refriend beans?
