Re: the salt in the pasta water

I don't think it's necessary either. Some say that it flavors the pasta, but also, salt supposedly breaks the molecular bond of the water and helps your water to boil faster; thus, cooking your pasta a little faster. But I agree, if you're watching the pot, there's no reason you have to add the oil to keep it from boiling over and you don't need the extra salt if you don't feel you need it for taste. I LOVE your blog and videos. Thanks for helping us to stay motivated.

I love this type of homey, comforting pasta dish. I'd have to halve the recipe though, as I can get carried away very easily.

PS I especially like the hokey pokey outtake!

I just want to tell you how much I love your recipes! I tried a few out this past week and posted them on my food blog with my reviews. I can't wait to see what your cook book has in it!. You are definitely my motivation for finding healthy ways to make the foods we love. So, thank you!

Darn it Roni....I was waitin' and waitin' for the fart but I missed it, I guess! I love the end movie....and Ryan singing and your comment, "That IS what it's all about, Buddy!" I have 2 grandsons (5 and 2) who love to laugh about farts and burps. Jax, the 5 yo says, "Me and Jovani think farts and burps are REALLY funny, Grandma!" (little brother's name is Jovan, but Jax always adds an i to the end of it). When Jax was 1 & 2 yrs. old, his mommy taught him to say, "Daddy farted", no matter who farted, or if Daddy was even there at the time! hahahaha

Hey Roni... looks great! I just posted a recipe so similar to this one but instead of the pasta I used spaghetti squash (I know you're a big fan of spaghetti squash too:)). I love this sort of one pot meal... they're so easy and so good! I think I'll try some lean ground beef next.
