They live in FL. What you do is after you cut off the top, put it in a dark closet for a few days and let the top try up some and then you plant it. I tried to plant one once but I live in NC so the cold killed it. You can grow them in pots or even in the ground. It takes two yrs after you plant it to get a pineapple!
