You're welcome. =) They're delish. So about 200 for 8 of them? That's still not bad at all. I guess our turkey pepperoni is a little higher in calories. =/ But we don't use much meat anymore - going vegetarian for the most part.

Thanks again. =D

Glad you like them!

Without the pepperoni I'm still getting about 200 cals. Turkey pepperoni, at least the one I use, is only about 35 cals for 8 small slices.

As for the sauce, if I remember I did use the remaining paste but you don't have to use it all. I'd save some to make a tortilla pizza another day. :)

Oh, my ever-loving god, Roni. I just made these and tore through 6 of them without a care in the world. I didn't use the turkey pepperoni and they were probably equally as good (I imagine?). All I know is... Hawt damn. I found my new favorite snack. Haha.

I do have a question, though - for the sauce, do you use the rest of the can, or whatever is left over from dabbing the wontons? Also, without the turkey pepperoni, I calculated it'd be about 174 (rounded up) for 6 of them, but my math isn't so great. Could you maybe help me out with that? =)

Thanks! 10 bazillion stars, too!

Hi Roni! Just wondering if you used the rest of a 6oz. or 16oz can of tomato paste to make the dipping sauce? Thanks!

Hi Roni! I just made these and they are wonderful. I used fat free mozz. and it worked just fine. This is the second time I used wontons, thanks to you. The ricotta rolls were the first. The important thing I am learning is that by putting forth some effort to 'create' a snack (rather than shoving a 2 pt snack in my mouth in one second) is certainly more satisfying and gratifying.
Again, thank you for all of your hard work and effort! I look forward to all of your cyber stuff!!! You totally ROCK!
:) Dana

Love the pizza bits, but the sauce......not so much. We dipped them in my copy cat ranch dressing and they were great. See my comment under "warm turkey club salad with sweet dried herb dressing" for recipe.

Hi Roni,
I made the pizza bites tonight, and they turned out a little crispier on the edges than I had hoped (baked at 375 for 15 min in convection oven). The flavor was great. I especially liked the spiciness of the pepperoni. Next time, I am going to try to wrap these like the shrimp rolls. Thanks for a great recipe.

I made these the other night and they were to die for. At my supermarket they've got tomato paste in tubes so it was that much easier. Awesome idea! I'll definitely be making these over and over again.

Hi Roni! I made these Sunday for our non-super bowl party - four of us ate every one - they were delicious! I made some with just pepperoni and cheese for one of the guys, some just veggie, and some mixed. I loved the sauce, too, and used the leftover dipping sauce with a spinach, pepper, italian sausage fritatta last night. Keep up the good work!

I am trying these this weekend! But I am going to put my own little twist on them just for something different. I was thinking about garlic chicken wontons. SO taking some marinated chicken, minced garlic, green onion, bacon bits, mozzerella, marinated artichokes and cut up baby spinach, cooking it all together until done, Dicing it all and using a dab of alfredo sauce instead of the tomato paste, (I think Ragu has a fairly low fat and low calorie alfredo sauce in the jar. It's something like 4.5 fat grams and 70 calories for 2 tbls). I will let you know how they turned out. Not sure about dipping sauce though. They may not need it. Thanks for this great idea when I'm craving pizza!!

Hi Roni,

I've been following your site for a while now. I love the new addition with Green Lite Bytes! I'm going to make the Pizza bites for a weekend treat. I've been having a hard time 'getting back on the wagon' and I was inspired by yourself and Angie All the Way (in my blog role). I'm not the best cook...and I just finished making Cod Fish Cakes...and forgot to take them out of the oven~~~Argh! So, now, they look like fish fries! So, any help I can get is great! I love the videos...very very helpful!

Cheers!

Oh! *bomps head* I just got it! Green shirt.....GreenLiteBites....OK. I also almost made a mistake, that might be a good mistake. I first typed it GreenLiteBytes, and since you are into both kinds of ....bi(y)tes...well, you get it.

Can't wait to try these, Roni! Thanks again! There are a lot of us out here that are eternally grateful to you!

[...] Roni put out a good recipe for Pizza bites, and these are made with Wonton. I’m very impressed and can’t wait to try them. Also on Roni’s site she has the video of her making these great bites. http://greenlitebites.com/2008/01/24/wonton-pizza-bites/ [...]

Jan & Kathleen - I use the part skim mozzarella. It's 80cals (2 points) and ounce, I believe. I've seen the finely shredded in most store brands near me in MD.

Hope that helps!
