Just found your blog... I love mixing herbs with fruit. I usually use something in the mint family, like mint or basil, but cilantro seems like an interesting idea! Can't wait to try it!

I stumbled across your website today and this looks great. I make something similar, chopping the oranges and strawberries very small, adding 1 can of crushed pineapple (with juice), 2-3 chopped kiwifruit, a minced scallion, and 2 TBSP of lime juice. We use this as a salsa with grilled chicken and fish. It is also a good dip for the 100 cal packs of honey maid graham crackers.

Yum! I love a fresh fruit salad! I often bring a fresh fruit salad to pot lucks so I know that there will be a "dessert" there that I can eat. I usually just throw in whatever fruit looks good at the market that day. But, to sweeten it up a bit, I usually add (sorry, no measurements, I just wing it) a dollop of honey, a splash of lime juice, a splash of lemon juice (for flavor and to help the fruit from turning brown) and the zest of an orange. The honey adds a wonderful, natural sweetness and all the citrus adds just another dimension to the fruity flavors. And, if I have leftovers to bring home, I might even throw a bit of whipped cream on top for myself. I promise, with this on the table, I don't even look at the other desserts at a pot luck (well, at least not twice! ;) )!

Roni--

This looks great--I'm going to give it a try. But where does the 1 gram of fat come from?
