Quick Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Posted in: Beverage Ideas, Breakfast Ideas, Food Photos, Toddler Approved | 4 Comments
This is the quickest smoothie recipe ever. We make it so much I think the toddler could tell you in his sleep how many strawberries are in it!
He loves smoothie morning. I whip out the hand blender, let him peel the banana, count the strawberries and lick the yogurt container. It’s fast becoming one of our favorite morning rituals.
Check out the new video and watch the toddler and I make this quick snack!
- 1 banana peeled
- 4 frozen strawberries
- 1 container of your favorite light flavored yogurt (strawberry banana works great! ;~)
Blend all ingredients together! Serve!
I use a hand blender as the top down approach helps me not have to add extra liquid. If you use a traditional blender, you may have to add a splash of water or skim milk to help it along. It is super thick!
Nutritional information will really depend on your choice of yogurt but I will estimate below using about 100 cals for the yogurt. I’ve used all different flavors and brands, they all work great!

[...] Yogurt – I eat at least one container of non-fat yogurt a day. I usually by whatever brand is on sale, whether it be Weight Watchers, Dannon, Yoplait or the store brand. I know they are chock full of artificial sweeteners but I they are SO good and SO convenient it’s hard to give them up. Plus they make a great base for smoothies! [...]
